WELCOME BACK TO LBC
WONDER IS ABOUT THE HEALING POWER OF OPENING OUR EYES TO THE BEAUTY OF OUR WORLD ADMIDST THE DIFFICULT THINGS THAT ALSO SURROUND US.
THERE IS INSPIRING MUSIC, AND THERE ARE ALL OF YOU, WHO INSPIRE IDEAS, CONNECTIONS, FORMS, MOVEMENTS, AND EMOTIONS. TOGETHER LET US FIND HEALING THROUGH WONDER.

I am aware that I have assembled a group of dancers who is not a corps de ballet. You are not a homogenious group as to your levels, experience, age, or outlook. This is our challenge. To utilize each and every one of you to your most challenging capacity and rejoice in the differences and the harmonies alike.
It is going to be a very cold week, so bring your warm things.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE ON BREAK FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS beginning March 15, AND THE IN BETWEEN 2 WEEKS FOR SPRING BREAK. USE YOUR TIME WISELY. ENJOY YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND TRIPS AND STAY SAFE. WE WILL ALL BE BACK MARCH 31. Plan for Main Street that day, but if the 226 building is operational we will move there shortly.
In classes and variations times we will be working on pieces from our classical piece from the spring: Coppelia Act 3.
Traditionally it is referred to as a Wedding Celebration for Franz and Swanilda, but we will call it the other name: CELEBRATION OF THE HOURS. Leaving aside the grand pas, the rest is a detailed unfolding of the hours of the day from TIME and her nymphs to each part of the day. Our youngest dancers in Ballet Exploration will be dancing the magical ticking of the clock.
You would each do well to watch a version of this in your spare time. If you wish we can do group watch party at a time of your choosing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE2fjFMag7E from 1hour19 you can enjoy the splendour of the Bolshoi Theatre, the amazing presentations by the milti-lingual narrator and peeks backstage of one of the largest theatres in the world.
